Penguins’ Jamie Oleksiak Out Indefinitely With Concussion

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without defenseman Jamie Oleksiak due to a concussion, the team officially announced on Thursday.

Oleksiak, who has collected 25 points in 79 games, sustained the injury when he was on the receiving end of a hard punch from Washington Capital forward Tom Wilson, who decked Oleksiak with a punch that knocked the 26-year old to the ice and forced him off the ice with assistance.

In a corresponding move, the Penguins have activated Dominik Simon from the injured reserve list.
